Appartement a Louer

After 15 years working close with the
“Haute Couture” Companies, Eric LOPEZ (designer) and Jacques MARTINET
(commercial) were looking to build their dream project.
Their first success came in 1996 when they bought an old factory close to Paris
which they slowly transformed to an incredible loft inspired by their travels
and varying tastes. The loft has since been used for Photo layouts, films,
commercials.
Inspired by this success, Eric and Jacques moved forward into the world of design and accessories. They exhibited at the Maison & Objet show a "Piece Unique”, a Jade Carpet of 50,000 pieces made entirely by hand and edged with peacock feathers. Eric and Jacques received the "discovery price" for the January 2001 show.
“Appartement à Louer” was born.
In 2004, Eric LOPEZ was awarded the “Designer of the Year” for Paris Capitale de la Création for his home collection in Fur.
Eric and Jacques then decided to play with softness, roundness and pleasurable sensations. That is why they presented a women’s accessory line at the “Première Classe” show. This first accessory collection of long necklaces made out of mother of pearl, semi precious stone and still fur was very well received.
Clients from all over the world became addicted.
Their favourite themes are very often based on the visual and sensual pleasure.
Their Top 4 colours are : Off white ,Truffle , Arsenic , Salamander .
Following their innovative imagination, two worlds spontaneously opened
their doors to them.
The "IN" Shops from all
over the world for the women accessories, and the very private clients who
wanted very exclusive and unique piece.
Eric and Jacques know how to design and produce what makes them
happy, without worrying about the market demand. Like high fashion, all
their pieces are hand made; Eric adores the "Couture" side of the
business. Their desire to do everything by hand has brought them some
surprises. But as with all the other projects they persevere.
They personally train everyone who works with them with the majority of their
staff coming from the world of "Haute Couture", thereby focusing on
details and harmony.
Eric and Jacques are very proud of the clientele they have built and thoughly
enjoy the very personalized approach they take with each new client.
Their ultimate wish would be : Work with all the people already involved with
"Haute Couture".
